Since the pandemic, there are more options for work that can be done from home and flexibly. From turning a hobby into a money-maker by selling goods online or giving online tutorials, to more traditional jobs that are now embracing remote workers, with hours that fit family life.

There might be training involved, but if it can be completed online, it may be able to be carried out at a time that suits. Here are some jobs that might spark some inspiration.

Firstly, online surveys, which pay participants to answer opinion polls or review a new product. There are also opportunities to test out new websites, which simply record how easy it is for you to find what you’re looking for.

In terms of populating all of these new websites and blogs with content, there could be freelance writing opportunities. Likewise, with so much information to process, there could be a data entry role that could fit in with other commitments, as it can pay according to output rather than number of hours worked.

Companies looking to save on office space are now embracing virtual customer services staff, as well as virtual assistants.

Finally, if you have a skill or a passion, such as fitness or crafts, it might be possible to give lessons or sell goods online. A good voice can perhaps be put to work turning books into audio books. For further inspiration, online jobs sites and freelancer apps can be a good source of ideas for flexible work.
